StarTime 101 Entertainment Workshop is your first stop on the road to success.


If your dreams include becoming an entertainer or just want to learn how to make sure you put your best foot forward, StarTime 101 may be the answer. Startime 101 is a half day seminar developed by entertainment professionals to make sure you are ready for that important presentation.

Startime 101 Entertainment Workshop will be a four hour presentation will offer a "hands-on how-to" developed by a group of entertainment professionals.

The Workshop was organized by Merrill Warner, a long time writer, performer and director. “Too many times, I watched some very talented people get passed over because they don’t have there presentation together, especially in the audition process where decisions are made immediately. You have to get in there, get the attention right away in any form of entertainment .”

Warner said the workshop was developed to teach aspiring singers, musicians, dancers and actors how to hone their craft. The first step in this process is to learn the art of auditioning. for a show such as American Idol, America’s Got Talent, Nashville Star or any other production takes some know-how.

Presenting this workshop will be Merrill Warner, Cathy Gurley (former v.p. of creative services for Capitol Records), Suzanne Saxon (singer, actress) and Michael Allen (specializing in imaging and marketing).

These workshops are four hours in length and cover numerous topics on how to make the best of your audition. You only have 30 seconds to convince people how talented and valuable you are. Don't blow you one chance to make it "Big."

Michael Allen. He will give his workshop – “Do You Look Great?”
This workshop will show you how to put together a professional promotional package with your logo design, creative writing of your biography, page layout, photography, and marketing strategies. Other types of promotional items will be discussed, such as posters, direct mail pieces, and music packaging design. Bring your promo package to the workshop for an expert critique.

Michael Allen, the designer/visualist, creates what does not exist. He can look at raw space and in his mind’s eye transform it into something that does not yet exist through his design, film and marketing talent. Most of his clients’ entertainment-related projects begin with a “clean sheet of paper.” Allen may develop the marketing strategy, design the product and produce all the visual elements of the product: graphic design, film/videography and photography with his tools: the camera, computer and drawing pen.
